The IIGT hosts an annual casino night and golf tournament as a fundraiser for Special Olympics and the Italian Club's Building and Cultural Trust Fund. The Krewe of Italia supports the event by cooking and serving Italian food on the 15th hold of the Temple Terrace Golf Course. The fun begins Friday October 20th @ 6:00 PM with Casino Italiano, a swanky party in the Italian Club of Tampa. Participants and guests will enjoy delicious Italian cuisine, accompanied by Italian vino and an open bar. Guests will also enjoy entertainment, and a night of casino games like Blackjack, Craps, Roulette and Poker. Accumulated winnings will be exchanged for raffle tickets and multiple chances to win big ticket prizes, including TVs, Trips, Jewelry and more. The Golf tournament is on Saturday October 21st @ 12:00 PM. We will meet on the 15th hole of the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club. Hole 15 is located on the corner of Bannockburn Avenue & Downs Avenue. The tournament begins at 12:00 PM and will wind down around 5:00 PM. The Krewe of Italia will be grilling and serving Italian sausage as well as meatball subs to be served to the golfers as they go by. This is where we need volunteers. We need folks to help set up (11:30 AM), serve food, cook food and pack up. Please email Joe DiStefano @ jdistefano@tierraeng.com Everyone is welcome to stay and volunteer the whole time or for as long as you are able. Come out and hang with us and enjoy our beautiful Florida weather on the historic Temple Terrace Golf Course. Do not forget your lawn chairs, sun umbrella, sunscreen and of course, your Krewe of Italia T-shirt. (We do have a tent for cooking and serving but it’s not big enough for all of us). After the invitational, everyone is invited to the Temple Terrace County Club to join in for the golfing awards and desserts. There will be a cash bar available with menu options.
To get to the 15th hole: Traveling from I275, head East on Fowler Avenue. Turn right (south) on Riverhills Drive. Turn right (west) on Bannock Avenue. We will be on your left. Traveling from I75, head West on Fowler Avenue. Turn left (south) on Riverhills Drive. Turn right (west) on Bannockburn Avenue. We will be on your left.
